It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and once went over three years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if not afforded the chance.

Whether this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the argument supporting final game tension. Some might respond with the test that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was far harder to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she was the highest scorer, but this knock followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in the nets, it was a disappointing period because it appeared I lacked timing completely," stated Healy.

"But once you take the field, your competitive instincts take over and you simply focus on the competition."

She was challenged by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, fallen to the emerging pace bowler in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from there the right-hander was in motion.

"The possibility to play and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was removed her side needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the assurance to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this World Cup should hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has become more firm - this triumph coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

So great is her will, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated through the pain.

Yet even as she afterwards confessed those injuries have pushed back plans to retire, this World Cup is likely to be her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is still to achieve an international tournament as skipper.

Triumph in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
